Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles was born in Ixmiquilpan in the state of Hidalgo in Mexico.


At the age of 19, Osvaldo began traveling across Latin America, starting with his native Mexico, in search of traditional instruments that he would soon be mastering.


His collection reflects the upsetting history of the continent. Pre-Columbian indigenous instruments are associates with those from deported Africans and different generations of European settlers.


Installed since more than twenty years in Belgium, Osvaldo has traveled the world, putting all his experience serving countless musical projects such as; Deep Forest, Marlene Dorcena, Rosa Brandão, Aura Msimang, Abdelli, Sidiki Camara, Ialma, Vaya Con Dios, Karim Baggili, Taiga Maya, collective projects such as Apikon-Dia and Blindnote to name but a few, his personal projects: Tierra, Amalgama, Mambu, Nahui-Ollin, Quilombo, and theatrical projects like, Invisible by Philippe Blasband, Noises of Karl Valentin, The Bridge of Stones and the Skin of Images of Daniel Danis.

Patricia Hernandez Van Cauwenberge, devoted for many years to classical and contemporary dance studying especially at Mudra School. 


She will travel to Argentina and Canada to study the Malambo dance of the Argentinian gauchos, which is performed with a hunting instrument, the boleadoras. In parallel, she devotes herself to learning multiple Afro-Latin American percussion instruments with Osvaldo Hernandez. 


Patricia will work with Cirque du Soleil for the show Saltimbanco. She played percussion instruments and danced in different projects such as: Lea & Kash (Karim Baggili): Amalgama trio; Nahui-Ollin; Mambu. Taïga Maya album and show (Mélanie Gabriel - Thierry Van Roy). And worked for the albums and concerts of Tierra and Quilombo (Osvaldo Hernandez Napoles).

Juan Carlos Bonifaz won as a young composer, the first prize for composition at the National Competition of Marimba, which took place in Chiapas in Mexico.


As a soloist, he has played in major festivals in Mexico (Rosario Castellanos, Cervantino, International Marimba Festival, New Music ...) and has performed in many theaters in Spain, France, Italy, in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.
